Everything in its proper place
Socks and underwear
Face to face…

Dancing through the cracks
With feet that fit
In any shoe…

The bitterest grapefruit
Is latched to your tongue

It’s only as far
As the wind will allow…

The phantom of youth
A return to their prime…

The song was so lovely
It just couldn’t stay…

As careless in death
As he once was in life…

Scrambling hands
Digging in the dirt…

Every so often
The world gets so cold…

The arm spins ’round
In an endless circle…
