The light blinked out
And the world was gone
No piles of snow
No windy song
But occasional echoes
Would strike her ear
And blurry visions
At random appear
Of a world built of chaos
The mind tries to tame
Which ensures no two people
See the world quite the same
As light swirls around her
In combat with night
She’s trapped in between
As the two forces fight
She reaches a hand
Towards the crack in the sky
Not wholly sure
What she’s doing or why
The light takes a form
In the shape of a circle
A lamp hangs above
Shining bright in the turmoil
She picks herself up
And shakes off the snow
Takes a quick look around
In the lamp’s shielding glow
She looks straight ahead
To the house that she sought
Goes up to the door
Gets ready to knock
