Leaving alone
In silence for home
The crowd wandered off
A long time ago
Except for the ones
Passed out on the floor
That don’t even stir
As I head for the door
The quiet of night
A comforting presence
As the noise is still ringing
Through my ears in the present
The great journey home
On the long road to sleep
